Design and Display

The Infinix comes in sleek with a thickness of only 8.8mm. In addition, the phone boasts a 6.95″ FHD LCD screen ensuring a superfluid display. The Note 10 screen is bigger than most, which translates to a deal-breaker for many due to handling difficulty but it would be treasured by huge-screen lovers who wouldn’t mind relinquishing one-hand usability, one man’s food is another’s poison kinda stuff.

The back panel of this phone shows off a peculiar gradient finish that amplifies its color and gives it a classy and urbane look. The front display exposes a picture-perfect hole-punch display right on top rocking thin elegant bezels to match. The device does have a relatively thicker chin added to the mix. The physical controls (volume and power buttons included) are located on the right side of the device with the fingerprint sensor implanted on the power button which is a design style that’s currently in vogue among manufacturers as for the other side, it is smooth all through, with a cut-out for the SIM tray at the top. The Note 10 comes with a 60Hz refresh rate which doesn’t sit well with most customers who look forward to a 90Hz refresh rate but Infinix Mobile quickly compensates with a 180Hz touch sampling rate which makes the screen more responsive to interactions.

Camera

The Note 10 brings an enticing triple rear camera setup to the table. This includes a 48MP main camera, a 2MP module for macro shots, and a 2MP module telephoto lens. The telephoto module is a rare sight among mid-range devices. The telephoto lens in technical terms increases focal length. In other words, it is used to show faraway objects with accurate perspective and with a high level of precise detail that was once only possible with close-range photography which translates to high-quality scenery photographs and background images. Additionally, the Infinix Note 10 does not come with a wide-angle lens equipped.

As a result, the camera on the Note 10 is that of an average smartphone, so your expectations shouldn’t be too high for it. Although it takes nice shots in well-lit environments and outdoor scenery, it does not compete with the likes of the Camon 17P. The Note 10’s portrait mode is commendable as it sustains focus on subjects very well. Finally, the camera’s AI does not disappoint in delivering decent finishes on photos.

Moving on, the Note 10 sports a 16MP AI-advanced selfie camera which is capable of taking sublime shots. Featuring different modes to try out from Beauty, Portrait, and AI Cam (which is the default mode of the camera). In addition, the camera app has a short video feature that utilizes AI to augment your videos with Instagram Reels or TikTok filters and snaps for a maximum of 30 seconds per clip, a sure deal-closer for Tik-Tokers or social media influencers. Finally, Pro Mode is also available on the app for smartphone photography enthusiasts.

Battery and Performance

On the performance aspect, the Note 10 does not fall short as it runs on the Android 11-based XOS 7.6 and 4/6GB RAM depending on the variant. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) which is a standard for elite mid-range phones since it delivers tremendous speed and processing power at an affordable price. Additionally, it is assisted by the Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55), which makes seamless processing and reduced loading times a possibility. But concerning hands-on user experience, we cannot promise anything as users of the Infinix Note 10 have complained about the XOS 7.6  being preloaded with a lot of bloatware and unnecessary UI features that are interrupting and interfering with users interactions. In addition, a lot of disturbing notifications and advertisements are turned by default by the system OS which makes even primary navigation an issue to users.

The Note 10 fulfills the expected power requirements of a mid-range device. Powered by the standard 5000mAh Li-Po battery, it’s built to endure days of heavy use for work or games. In addition, you can make a quick recharge with the in-box 18W X-Charge brick, leaving the Note 10 juiced up in 2hrs 40 mins tops. Finally, peaking at 53hrs on standby and 12hrs gaming, the Note is not lacking in power whatsoever for your daily routine.

Connectivity

In terms of connectivity, the Note 10 meets the digital standard. Firstly, it boasts a surfing speed of about 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE. Secondly, it spans numerous 3G and 4G to allow convenient connection no matter your location. Additionally, it also features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, and hotspot. The Dual-Band feature provides faster speeds and limits the impact of interference from other devices. Moreover, it comes equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and A-GPS. The USB ports are the USB Type-C 2.0 and USB On-The-Go.

Price and Availability

The Infinix Note 10 being a mid-range device has an affordable price range of NGN 74,000 to NGN 85,000 depending on the variant. It is also currently available in online stores such as Jumia or Konga and popular retailers located nationwide for purchase.

Verdict

The Infinix Note 10 is a great choice for those who are out for optimal processing speed and entertainment needs as the device foots both bills with its 4/6GB RAM and 6.95″ screen while keeping the price affordable. The only viable downside to the Note 10 is the obnoxious UI clutter and mediocre camera quality which can actually be considered trade-offs to keep the price in the mid-range section. In conclusion, the Infinix Note 10 is a promising mid-range device that offers targeted value for your money.
